One of the most pleasant surprises of the last couple of years has been the revival of the famous guitarist Slash. After various failed solo projects, such as Slash’s Snakepit and Velvet Revolver, which was the better of the two, he decided to go on as Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators.

And now, after having released two albums, he has even released a third one: ‘World On Fire’! With Alter Bridge vocalist Myles Kennedy he has recruited one of the best singers around. You can hear that his brilliant voice really gives the songs something special.

With the Guns ‘n Roses hits like ‘Mr. Brownstone’, ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ and ‘Paradise City’ added to his new songs, Slash has quite some material to play live. With Kennedy as a perfect substitution for Axl Rose, you are in for a special surprise.

One big positive plus is this: In 2012 Slash played live the day before Guns ‘n Roses were closing the festival. Slash’ and Myles’ performance was superb, drawing the attention of an awful lot of fans. But when, a day later, Guns ‘n Roses took the stage, people were actually leaving the festival, because it was such a bad show. They’ve heard the classics the day before anyway.
